How to Make Your Agency Flourish
When life hands you dirt, plant seeds.
My friend, you may not know this about me but my thumb has turned green.
Being a gardener was never my thing. In fact I was known for killing just about everything I planted.
Until last spring.
I decided enough was enough. With all my heart I wanted to have a tomato and herb garden.
And so I had a beautiful planter installed at my cottage and filled it with fledgling tomato and herb plants.
Making my dream a reality started with a decision.
The same was true for my business.
Last year I had a dry spell because my focus had pivoted to personal responsibilities.
When the time was right, my attention turned to cultivating my business.
Unfortunately, what I saw in front of me was a pile of dirt (metaphorically, of course).
So, as with my garden, rejuvenating my business started with a decision sprinkled with determination and a whole lot of focus.
My friend, there are two ways to look at a pile of dirt … as a mess or as fertile ground.
When you see the pile as a mess, you may want to walk away and deal with it another day.
If you see the pile of dirt as fertile ground, you feel eager to roll up your sleeves and start planting seeds.
As an agency owner your tools are focus and patience.
Success doesn't happen overnight, nor does it suddenly sprout into a towering beanstalk leading straight to a pot of gold.
Sowing your success requires patience and consistent attention.
Consider these approaches to tending your agency this spring...
Cultivate your relationships - fostering genuine connections with others, not solely for commercial gain but for the joy of nurturing meaningful connections.
Mulch your systems - implementing consistent methods and practices to improve efficiency, saving time, resources, and effort.
Tend your Big Picture - defining your overarching vision and values to guide your actions with clarity and determination.
Recognize your Blooming Best Clients - who do you want to work with?
Prune your Offers - refining and optimizing your services to provide the most significant value and impact.
These are all ways that can make your business season even better.
I’m curious, how will you tend your agency this spring?
